Founded in 2013, GZ Consulting Engineers brings over 25 years of structural engineering expertise to Sydney's most ambitious architectural projects. We turn bold design visions into buildable reality.
We specialise in bespoke, design-led projects—homes that cantilever over bushland, heritage conversions that preserve character while reimagining space, and prefabricated systems pushing sustainable construction forward. Our work has supported multiple National Architecture Award winners.

Sustainable Design

We apply life cycle assessment principles to our structural engineering, considering environmental impact from material selection through to end-of-life. Using advanced analysis software, we optimise every structure to eliminate unnecessary material—reducing carbon, cost, and waste without compromising safety.
We specify low embodied carbon materials where appropriate, including low-carbon concrete, sustainably sourced timber, and recycled steel—always balanced against durability and whole-of-life performance. Our emphasis on serviceability design ensures structures perform well for decades, controlling deflections and long-term behaviour to minimise future maintenance and replacement.
